WetworkRL alpha 0.1.4 coming soon!


I've been taking a break from developing WetworkRL for a while due to starting a new job which has taken much of my time. After picking it up again a few weeks ago I realised I've come pretty far into the features I've planned for alpha 0.1.4. A lot of the update has to do with back-end stuff - WetworkRL is very much a "learn by doing"-project, which means I've had to completely rewrite several parts of the game's code. This means that future content updates will require much less work on my part. 

Reviewing my patch notes, I've apparently rewritten the status effects sytem to be "less stupid". This seems to be true, as adding new kinds of effects is way less complicated and time consuming. Most notably, I've added a few different kinds of gasses: sarine gas, which damages anyone as long as they're standing in it, for example. I've also added smoke, both as a result of fire and a smoke grenade. Standing in smoke reduces an entity's ACC stat. 

I have a few other things I want to add and quite a bit of kinks to iron out before the new update is live though, so you'll have to make do with alpha 0.1.3 for now.
